Questions and Answers about orthodontic treatment.
My dentist told me I need to see an orthodontist.
What can I expect when I see you?
On your first visit an examination is made of
the patient. Some times it is necessary to take
a panoramic X-ray to determine the position and
condition of teeth that have not yet erupted.
After this is done, it is determined whether a
problem exists and whether it is treatable.
How long will treatment take?
The length of time treatment will take is highly
variable. It can last from between a few months
to two years depending on the severity and complexity
of the problem.
How much will treatment cost?
The cost of treatment depends on the length of
time it is estimated that the problem will take
to correct. There is usually a down payment, which
is due in the first month of treatment, and then
there is a monthly fee which continues for a specific
number of months. A definite figure is arrived
at during the consultation appointment. There
is no fee for the consultation and the patient
is under no obligation to start.
Do you accept insurance?
When patients start treatment an insurance form
is filed with the patient's insurance company
requesting permission to start treatment. At the
same time the insurance company is told the length
of time treatment will take and the cost of the
procedure. The company is also billed for the
down payment. The money from the insurance company
is sent directly to the patient. The insurance
company is then billed every three months for
payments made to the office by the patient.
Do you accept credit cards?
This office accepts Visa, Master Card and American
Express credit cards.
Where are you located?
